Unique structure | Fireproofing and inflaming retardancy | Hydrophobicity |
The pore size of Kistler ® KSL6 is far smaller than the free path (70nm) of air molecules. This special structure firmly locks the air molecules and greatly reduces thermal convection, while also forming an "infinite length" path of heat conduction, thus realizing KSL6’s extremely low thermal conductivity. | More than 99% of the components in KSL6 are the inorganic material silicon dioxide, and it meets the grade A non-combustible standard of the GB8624-2012 Classification for Burning Behavior of Building Materials and Products. | The hydrophobicity of KSL6 can reach 98%, which effectively prevents water infiltration while also maintaining superior, long-term thermal insulation performance. |
Product Features
Application Field
As a substitute for traditional thermal insulation materials, Kistler ® KSL6 can be compounded with different fiber substrates to make aerogel composite thermal insulation felt, used as the main raw material to make aerogel thermal insulation coatings, and used as the functional thermal insulation filler to produce aerogel thermal insulation glass, aerogel thermal insulation board, and other derivative products in various forms. Such products have a wide range of applications in the petrochemical industry, thermal engineering, thermal equipment, and LNG storage, as well as in transportation, traffic transportation, military engineering, and other related areas.
