Energy saving low carbon safety
Kistler® KSL6 silica aerogel powder/particle is an inorganic material with a networked, three-dimensional nanopore structure. Its porosity reaches 80-99%, with pore sizes that are concentrated between 10-50nm, and featuring thermal conductivity at room temperature that can be as low as 0.013W/(m.k). The product has broad application prospects in areas including heating, acoustics, mechanics, optics, electricity, and pharmaceuticals.
MoreKistler ® KSL7 is composed of silica aerogel, preoxidized fiber aramid, polyester, and other organic fibers. This series of products has superior thermal insulation and high hydrophobicity, while also maintaining the flexibility of polymer materials. It is applicable in new energy vehicles, household appliances, bullet trains, battery packs and other related areas.
MoreKistler® KSL0 felt is composed of nano porous silica aerogel and fiber materials via a special process for low-temperature resistant composite thermal insulation. The aluminum foil isolation layer can effectively isolate moisture, prevent low-temperature condensation, and meet the cleanliness requirements for construction.
MoreKistler ® aerogel battery thermal barriers are made with the core materials of preoxidized fiber or other types of aerogel composite materials, and have a polymer (PET, PI) film or flame retardant coating as the packaging material. After hot pressing or coating, they have excellent thermal insulation, fireproofing, and cushioning functions. These barriers are mainly used for thermal protection between the lithium battery cells, which can effectively prevent thermal runaway in the cells, and greatly improves the driving safety of new energy vehicles. In case of any thermal runaway in one of the electric cells, the aerogel thermal barrier between the cells can block the heat transfer to the adjacent cells and prevent heat diffusion, thus avoiding the domino effect of thermal runaway in the electric cells of new energy power batteries.
MoreKistler ® intumescent aerogel fireproof coating is a double-component, solvent-free epoxy fireproof coating, which is applied to the surface of the substrate. The coating will expand and sponge when exposed to fire, and then carbonize instantly to form a thermally insulating refractory layer, delaying the heating speed of the substrate, and thereby improving its fire resistance. 0.6 mm-thick Kistler ® intumescent fireproof coating can expand 20 times when exposed to fires burning at 1000℃, and the back surface temperature won’t exceed 200℃ within 5 minutes. This coating can be widely applied to metal surfaces, including the battery packs of new energy vehicles, and it has a robust fireproofing and thermal insulation effect.
