Kistler®aerogel KSL8 is made with special process and is composed of silica aerogel, glass fiber, ceramic fiber, mullite fiber, and other inorganic fibers. This product has the dual advantages of low thermal conductivity and high temperature resistance.
Meets the grade A incombustibility rating of the GB8624-2012 Classification for Burning Behavior of Building Materials and Products.
The thermal conductivity is 0.017~0.021W/(m·K) at 25℃; the thermal conductivity is 0.032~0.042W/(m·K) at 300℃, and the thermal insulation thickness is only 1/5~1/3 of traditional fiber materials.
Stable nanoporous structure, high compression resilience, inorganic aging resistance, and superior hydrophobicity, with an effective service life equivalent to that of pipeline equipment.
The product does not contain any asbestos, benzene, formaldehyde, or other harmful substances, and can be reused after equipment maintenance and disassembly. It is environmentally friendly and free of the need to deal with industrial waste disposal.
The hydrophobicity rate reaches 98%. The product is also non-hygroscopic, and can effectively prevent the accumulation of internal moisture, eliminating corrosion under insulation (CUI), and extending the service life of pipes and equipment.
